Activate FXBG is a community-driven initiative designed to bring life back into underutilized spaces throughout Fredericksburg. By transforming vacant or lightly used locations into active hubs for small businesses, events, and creative experiences, Activate FXBG helps spark economic activity while strengthening community connection.

Rather than operating as a traditional venue, Activate FXBG functions as a flexible space activation network. We partner with property owners to temporarily activate their spaces and then open those locations to vendors, organizations, entrepreneurs, and community members. The goal is simple: make spaces useful, accessible, and alive again.

Each Activate FXBG property has its own unique identity and purpose, while still operating under the same shared mission of community activation. For example, Knead & Finesse serves as a rotating retail and self-care pop-up experience featuring fashion, wellness services, creative workshops, and specialty vendors. The Juice Box operates as a community-focused event and gathering space designed for connection, collaboration, and immersive experiences. Both are examples of how Activate FXBG adapts to different types of spaces and community needs.

Activate FXBG hosts its own programmed experiences while also allowing outside organizations, vendors, and community leaders to utilize the spaces when scheduling permits. This shared-use approach ensures that the spaces remain active, accessible, and continuously evolving. From pop-up retail and wellness experiences to networking events, creative workshops, and community gatherings, each activation is designed to support local entrepreneurs and encourage meaningful interaction.
